WWE Royal Rumble picks

Well, since my friend said he would come for the show (which means he’ll show up in the last hour), I will post my predictions for the matches currently announced for the show.

  • Mickie James over Ashley
  • JBL beats the Boogeyman.
  • Kurt Angle defeating Mark Henry
  • Edge retains against John Cena
  • Rey Mysterio wins the Royal Rumble match, unless John Cena ends up being one of the three mystery men.

    Well, it looks like I went 3-4-5 (three for five) as Mickie James, Kurt Angle, and Rey Mysterio won their respective matches. I should have known that the Boogeyman would win his PPV debut match, but didn’t think they would really have a former world champion do the job. John Cena’s win was quite a surprise, given the strong ratings Edge has received since winning the title.

    The ending of the show signifies an Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle match to come up (presumably at Wrestlemania). This points to Rey switching shows and wrestling for the WWE title? I’m surprised that WWE would take one of their biggest stars off of Smackdown. Why hurt the weaker show?
